From the beginning:
Texas’s neighbor to the east is the Pelican State, Louisiana. During the French and Indian War in the 18th century, the Cajun-Acadians living in Acadia, a colony of New France that is now Canada, was expelled by the British. Many of them settled in Southern Louisiana near Orleans. The Cajun-Acadians brought with them their style of cooking which blended the intense heartiness with spiciness. We now refer to it as Cajun cooking. Over the years, this celebrated style of cooking made its way to Texas and became part of the state’s culinary treasure. At 7Spice Cajun Seafood, we pay homage to this cuisine and celebrate its addition to our melting pot. Each dish featured on our seafood restaurant menu reflects our appreciation.
