Missouri City is a rapidly growing and developing part of southwest Houston, sitting just south of Beltway 8 and just east of I-69. Bordering Sugar Land to the west, Missouri City is similar in affluence and is home to many high-end neighborhoods. Those neighborhoods include Quail Valley, Lake Olympia, Hunter’s Glen, Lexington, Meadowcreek, Sienna Plantation and Riverstone. With so many well-established neighborhoods in the area, it’s no surprise that Missouri City is also filled with many small parks, perfect for families and pets.

Sugar Land is Missouri City’s largest and most prominent neighbor, but there are additional communities that are also within a short drive of the area. They include Stafford, just west of Missouri City, Braeburn and Meyerland to the north, and Ridgemont to the east. One of the areas many winding, slow waterways – Oyster Creek – makes its way through Missouri City and many parks and trails are situated along its edges.
Highway 90 runs through Missouri City and empties into the Medical Center near downtown Houston, so many people who live in the area quickly commute to and from inner Houston. Although mainly a commuter part of Houston, Missouri City is rapidly attracting families to the area with its sought-after residential communities and convenient location. This has led to widespread commercial development where Missouri City residents can meet up to shop and dine.
